What is this?

Hello, this is PrettyPreez.com. I am conducting an experiment that will hopefully allow me to buy things that I want. All you have to do is donate, and in return you'll receive a small token of my appreciation. I am not disabled or suffering from any kind of illness. I just want stuff.

Are you serious?

Yeah.

Are you a bum?

No. I have a full time job and I am currently paying a mortgage, along with a number of other bills (including hosting for this site), but this isn't some sob story. I just want stuff.

Why should I give you money when there are much more important things to worry about such as disease research, etc.?

Hey, if that's how you feel, I'm okay with that. Nobody is forcing you to donate. Besides, you get something fun for donating.

So what do I get for donating?

There's always gotta be some kind of incentive to donate other than self satisfaction, so here's what you get for donating:

• $0-4*: I'll draw a picture for you in MS Paint (based on a single theme word that you provide) and email it to you along with a personalized thank-you message.
• $5-19: I'll write you a real thank-you letter, draw you a real picture (based on a single theme word that you provide) and mail it to you.
• $20+: I'll write you a real thank-you letter, paint you a real picture with watercolors (I will paint literally anything that you want!), and I'll mail it to you.

I am not an artist by trade, but I will try to draw or paint you the best picture that I can. If you don't want a picture, I may consider alternate gifts for those who donate. It obviously can't cost me more than what you donated. If I am not comfortable with your idea, you'll still receive your regular gift.

Okay, so what do you want?

I've taken an interest in photography lately, so I would really like a camera to improve my photography skills. I don't want anything fancy like a digital SLR, in fact, the camera I want is quite modest:

Canon PowerShot A1000 IS

It retails for $180 CAD, which isn't too bad at all.

Bonus: When/if the goal of $180 is reached, I'll take a personalized photo for every person who donated and post it to Flickr along with a little message about the donater. You'll be internet famous.
